Happy Valentine’s Day.

According to Conn. Gen. Stat. 31-308, the heart is worth 520 weeks of benefits for purposes of permanent partial disability benefits. This ranks among the most highly valued body parts under Connecticut Workers’ Compensation law.

If physical work activity or stress is a “substantial contributing factor” in a heart injury, it is compensable under Connecticut Workers’ Compensation law.
