Settlement of Workers’ Compensation Claim for $150,000
An injured registered nurse recently settled two separate Workers’ Compensation claims for a combined total of $150,000. The cases involved injuries to her bilateral shoulders and neck. She was required to undergo an anterior cervical disc fusion surgery. Her shoulder injuries were treated conservatively, but she was advised that she may require shoulder surgery in the future. Unfortunately, she was required to leave her position as a registered nurse as a result of the injuries because she could not continue to fulfill the obligations of that job. Benefits were included in the settlement for future earnings loss and an allocation for future medical care.
